How long does the registration process take?
Online registration typically takes 5–10 minutes. Identity verification through our FCA-authorised payment partners is usually completed the same business day for most clients, though larger or more complex transfers may require additional documentation.
What information do I need to provide?
Standard FCA compliance requires proof of identity (passport or driving licence), proof of address (utility bill or bank statement), and source of funds documentation for larger transfers. Your specialist will guide you through exactly what’s needed for your specific transfer.
How long does an international transfer take to arrive?
Major currency pair transfers (GBP/USD, GBP/EUR, GBP/AUD) typically settle the same or next business day. Exotic currency transfers may take 2–3 business days. Speed depends on the recipient’s bank, the currency, and the time of day the trade is placed.
Can I lock in an exchange rate for a future transfer?
Yes. A forward contract lets you fix today’s exchange rate for a transfer up to 12 months in the future. This is particularly useful for property purchases between exchange of contracts and completion, or for businesses with known future invoice dates. Your specialist can talk you through the structure on the phone.
Do I have to complete my transfer over the phone?
Yes. All trades are placed by phone with your dedicated specialist. This isn’t a limitation — it’s how we make sure the timing, structure, and rate are all right for your specific situation, particularly on larger or more complex transfers. There is no online transaction platform.
What happens if I need to make changes after locking my rate?
If your circumstances change after you’ve booked a trade — completion date moves, transfer amount adjusts, beneficiary details update — speak to your specialist directly. We can usually accommodate reasonable changes, particularly on forward contracts, though some adjustments may have rate or timing implications.
